মালয়েশিয়ায় ৭৬৭ বাংলাদেশি আটক

রাষ্ট্রীয় বার্তা সংস্থা বারনামার খবরে বলা হয়েছে, গত রোববার পোর্ট ডিকসনের জিমাহ এলাকায় ওই অভিযান চালানো হয়।
নেগেরি সেম্বাইলান রাজ‌্য ইমিগ্রেশন পুলিশের পরিচালক হাপজান হুসাইনি জানিয়েছেন, আটক সবার বয়স ২০ থেকে ৫০ বছরের মধ‌্যে।
তাদের মধ‌্যে ৭৬৭ জন বাংলাদেশ, ৮০ জন পাকিস্তান, ৫০ জন ভারত, ২২ জন ইন্দোনেশিয়া, ১৩ জন শ্রীলঙ্কা, তিনজন মিয়ানমার ও একজন নেপালের নাগরিক বলে বারনামার তথ‌্য।
তাদের বিরুদ্ধে জাল ভিসা ব‌্যবহার, বৈধ কাগজপত্র ছাড়া বা মেয়াদপূর্তির পরও মালয়েশিয়ায় অবস্থানসহ বিভিন্ন অভিযোগ আনা হয়েছে বলে ইমিগ্রেশন কর্তৃপক্ষ জানিয়েছে।
মালয়েশিয়া বাংলাদেশের জনশক্তি রপ্তানির অন্যতম বড় বাজার। বর্তমানে বিভিন্ন পেশায় প্রায় ছয় লাখ বাংলাদেশি সেখানে রয়েছেন। তবে আরও বহু বাংলাদেশি অবৈধভাবে সেখানে পাম বাগান, নির্মাণসহ বিভিন্ন খাতে স্বল্প মজুরিতে কাজ করছেন বা দালালের খপ্পরে পড়ে শ্রম দিতে বাধ‌্য হচ্ছেন।   

White House denies Donald Trump’s claim of election fraud

The White House said that there is no evidence to support the alleged “election fraud” claimed by President-elect Donald Trump, who on the weekend said that “millions” of people voted “illegally” for his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, in the November 8 election.  On Sunday, Trump said on Twitter that he would have beaten Clinton in the nationwide popular vote “if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally”.
He also called into question the results in three states he lost to Clinton, saying “Serious voter fraud in Virginia, New Hampshire and California — so why isn’t the media reporting on this? Serious bias — big problem!” but offering no evidence of the supposed fraud. However, there has been “no evidence produced to substantiate” Trump’s claims, White House press secretary Josh Earnest said on Monday, Xinhua news agency reported.

Terror attack in Nagrota, Jammu Live Updates: Suicide attackers target Army camp, one jawan killed

A group of heavily armed terrorists on Tuesday attacked an army camp in Nagrota in Jammu and Kashmir. Two soldiers have been injured in the terror attack. Terrorists started firing at a field regiment camp located in the garrison town of Nagrota at 5:30 AM. According to reports, two-three suicide attackers are believed to be holed up in Nagrota area. The fierce gunbattle in still on between security forces and militants. We will be updating live on Nagrota terror attack.
Security forces have cordoned off the area where terrorists are believed to be hiding. The Jammu and Kashmir police said that the militants threw grenade and opened fire at the 166 field regiment camp in Nagrota area. At least two jawans have been injured, while the encounter is still underway. All the schools located near the spot have been shut.

Attack on Pakistan army: 4 suicide bombers, 2 soldiers killed near Afghan border

Four heavily-armed suicide bombers attacked a mosque at an army facility in northwestern Pakistan’s tribal region near Afghan border today, triggering fierce clashes that left all militants and two soldiers dead. The militants attacked Mohmand Rifles Headquarters in Ghalanai in Mohmand Agency, one of seven tribal districts, and reached the mosque, where residents and a large number of recruits had gathered for an early morning prayer. The attackers were wearing suicide jackets and opened fire while attempting to enter the mosque.
“They were taken on and contained in the outer courtyard of mosque. Security forces surrounded the attackers and killed all of them,” the army said in a statement. Officials said 15 troops were also injured in the attack. Condition of five of those injured was stated to be critical. “Security forces valiantly defeated suicide attack on Ghalani Camp in Mohmand agency killing all four suicide bombers,” army spokesman Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa tweeted.

In a disastrous turn of events Japan was today hit by a 6.9 magnitude earthquake. The earthquake hit the Fukushima prefecture this morning. This served in bringing back nightmarish memories of the 2011 Fukushima nuclear disaster that caused massive damage in 2011.

Three bomb explosions in Imphal, 1 killed

One person was killed and two CRPF jawans were injured in three blasts triggered by unidentified outfits here today. Binod Roy was killed in an explosion of an IED at Singjamei Chingamathak area near an Assam Rifles camp in the morning, police officials said.
Another explosion took place around 5 pm at BT Road near M-sector, a few meters away from the camp of the Assam Rifles. The spokesman of the Assam Rifles said no jawan was injured in the blast.
